Do You Know About CDF?

If you are a Zambian citizen with a green National Registration Card (NRC), you are eligible to benefit from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), managed by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

Government’s CDF Allocation:

• 2021: K1.6 million
• 2024: K36.1 million

CDF Components:

1. Community-Based Projects (60% of total allocation)
   • Includes 5% disaster contingency.
   • Types of projects:
     • Health and Education
     • Water and Sanitation
     • Construction and rehabilitation of:
       • Schools, clinics, police posts
       • Flush toilets and waterborne sanitation systems
       • Footbridges, feeder roads, markets, dip tanks
       • Community libraries, halls, and sports facilities
2. Youth, Women, and Community Empowerment (20% of total allocation)
   • Grants: 40%
   • Soft Loans: 60%
3. Secondary Boarding School and Skills Development Bursaries (20% of total allocation)
   • Covers:
     • Skills Training
     • Tertiary and Secondary Education
