Fisheries and Livestock Minister MAKOZO CHIKOTE says the aquaculture sector has potential to turn around the country’s economic prospects.
Mr. CHIKOTE says a proper data base, investment and coordinated flow of information can make the sector grow into one of the biggest in the country.
Speaking during his familiarisation tour of National Aquaculture research and development centre in Kitwe, Mr. CHIKOTE said information must be made available as to what is happening in various research centres doted across the country to ensure progression
He further said government will create a new environment that will attract investors that are willing to invest in the aquaculture sub sector.
Mr. CHIKOTE said government committed to ensure there is growth in the aquaculture sector unlike in the past.
