PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema will on Monday meet board chairpersons, heads of quasi Government institutions and statutory bodies to discuss among other issues high expenditure in the institutions.
According to a statement by Acting Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa the special meeting would be held at the Kenneth Kaunda Wing of the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka starting at 08:00 hours under the theme ‘Working towards a common purpose!
“The meeting is a follow-up on the directive by the President on July 18, during the Public Private Sector Day where the head of state raised concern about the need to address the high expenditure patterns in quasi Government institutions and statutory bodies,” he said.
Mr Kangwa said the agenda for the special meeting include an engagement between the head of state, the board chairpersons., chief executive officers for quasi Government institutions and statutory bodies.
