Sprinter MUZALA SAMUKONGA has reaped Gold at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in England after winning the Men’s 400 meters race.
SAMUKONGA clocked a personal best of 44.66 seconds to win the prestigious award for Zambia.
The time also beats the national record held by veteran SAMUEL MATETE in 1991 in 400 Meters category.
Earlier, this year SAMUKONGA won gold at the Africa championships held in Mauritius
Last month, SAMUKONGA took part in the Athletics World Championships in the USA and finished 9th.
