(ZNBC)-Zambia and Angola have signed a Memorandum of Understanding -MoU- for investment and trade between the two countries.
The agreements have been signed between the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
And Commerce Minister, CHIPOKA MULENGA says Zambia and Angola should take advantage of the shared vast border to increase trade between them.
Mr MULENGA notes that the two countries continue to import products from as far as Europe and China when they can utilise each other’s production potentials.
ZNBC’s MERCY NGOMA reports from Luanda, Angola, that Mr MULENGA said this during the Zambia-Angola Business Forum, which is a curtain raiser event to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s state visit.
And Angolan Commerce Minister, VICTOR FERNANDES said Zambia and his country need to work on synergies to realise desired goals, exploiting the development of Infrastructure to ease investment.
Speaking at the same event, Infrastructure Minister, CHARLES MILUPI noted the need for Infrastructure development between the two countries to support the investments.
Mr MILUPI said the business opportunities cannot be attained without support transport Infrastructure.
And Transport Minister, FRANK TAYALI said he is hopeful that with the investment engagements, the Angolan Airlines will resume flights into Zambia.
