Lands minister Elijah Muchima has disclosed that the intended auditing of land is being inhibited by the high number of unresolved cases surrounding ownership.
Last year, Mr. Muchima announced that the government was to embark on a land audit exercise in all parts of the country which would be done in phases.
But in an interview with phoenix news, Mr. Muchima says there are a lot of conflicting statements regarding ownership that require cleaning up before the exercise can commence.
Mr. Muchima explains that the impending land audit will be done comprehensively and that all stakeholders who include councils and traditional leaders will be involved.
