Namwala Constituency Member of Parliament, MOONO MAPANI has appealed to Government to quickly send animal vaccines to Namwala in view of a looming animal disease outbreak.
Mr. MAPANI says following the floods that have hit Namwala District, livestock that is trapped in flooded areas will require vaccines.
He added that cattle farmers in Namwala District risk losing their animals if measures are not put in place to curb the possible animal disease outbreak.
Mr. MAPANI further appealed to the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit-DMMU to plan for supply of relief food to Namwala as most farmers have lost their crop fields due to floods.
He also called on other stakeholders to partner with Government and help families affected by floods in his Constituency.
The Namwala Law maker was speaking in an interview with ZNBC.
