Alibuzwi to be inducted in US Hall of Fame

Zambia Army Commander Sitali Alibuzwi will be inducted into the International Fellows Hall of Fame on Thursday at Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania, USA.

General Alibuzwi will be inducted alongside Major General Joseph Seelo, the Ground Force Commander of the Botswana Defence Force.

And Commanding General of the United States Army’s Southern European Task Force, Africa, Major General Todd Wasmund said the ceremony seeks to honour US Army War College graduates who have attained the highest positions in their country’s defense forces through military merit.

Major General Wasmund has since urged the officers to take advantage of the event that comes every three years to learn from one another.

He said this during the opening of the African alumni symposium.

General Alibuzwi will be joined by former African War College graduates from 20 African nations and US military schools to discuss the development of the next generation of African leadership.

This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by Zambia Army Spokesperson Colonel Martin Liyungu.
