The Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) has distributed about K117.6 million in dividends to its 73 pension fund investors.
CEC Board Chairman, Mr London Mwafulilwa, presented cheques to five of the 73 pension fund investors.
The benefiting pension fund investors who received a portion of the K117.6 million total paid out to the 73 pension funds include the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) which received K10.5 million, Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board K10.2 million and the Public Service Pensions Fund Board which raked in K9.1 million.
The Local Authority Superannuation Fund pocketed K5.7 million while the Kwacha Pension Trust Fund raked in K1.8 million.
Mr Mwafulilwa emphasised CEC’s commitment to delivering returns to both the pension funds and to their individual members.
Pension fund representatives thanked the CEC Board, Management and staff for their efforts in contributing to the welfare of pension fund members, but also to the overall prosperity of Zambia as a nation.
