Elon Musk Announces Video and Audio Calls for X

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter), has announced that video and audio calls will soon be available on X, the social media platform he acquired in October 2022.

In a tweet, Musk said that the calls will work on iOS, Android, Mac, and PC. He also said that no phone number will be needed, and that X will be the “effective global address book.” This means that users will be able to call each other by just checking their username.

Musk said that the new feature is “unique” and that it will make X “a more powerful communication tool.” He also said that he hopes the feature will help to “bring people closer together.”

The announcement of video and audio calls comes as X is facing increasing competition from other social media platforms, such as TikTok and Snapchat. The new feature could help X to attract new users and retain existing ones.

It is not yet clear when the new feature will be rolled out to all users. However, Musk said that it is “coming soon.”

In addition to video and audio calls, Musk has also hinted at other new features for X, such as an edit button and a verification system. He has said that he wants to make X “the most entertaining and engaging platform in the world.”

It remains to be seen whether Musk will be able to achieve his goals for X. However, the announcement of video and audio calls is a positive sign for the platform. It suggests that Musk is committed to making X a more powerful and versatile communication tool.
