EVALUATION OF EDUCATION STANDARDS AND CURRICULUM STARTS

(ZNBC)-The Ministry of Education has launched the first Symposium for Secondary Education meant to promote evaluation of education standards and assessment of the curriculum.

Speaking during the launch, Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA said revision of the curriculum will allow for interrogation of what is working and what is not.

Mr. SYAKALIMA said the Symposium is also meant to respond to the 21st century needs of the youth.

Meanwhile, British Deputy High Commissioner to Zambia SAM WALDOCK said there is need to step up support to address the learning needs globally.

Mr. WALDOCK said the United Kingdom remains committed to education and supports Zambia’s bold move to repair the damage caused by Covid-19.
