The Zambia Revenue Authority Commissioner General Dingani Banda has urged staff working at the ZRA Service Centre based at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources (MLNR) in Lusaka to ensure that processing of tax transactions on land is expedited.
He reminded staff that the Eight National Development Plan has prioritised Agriculture, Mining, Manufacturing and Tourism sectors and that land is a key factor in unlocking productivity and creation of jobs in these sectors.
Mr. Banda assured staff that the MLNR , ZRA and Smart Zambia Institute (SZI) will soon start implementing measures to integrate their respective systems through the Government Service Bus (GSB), as announced in the 2023 Budget Speech by the Minister of Finance and National Planning.
This innovation is expected to further streamline the processes between the ZRA and MLNR, which will consequently improve processing efficiency and also seal revenue leakages.
And the members of staff informed the Commissioner General that following the upgrade of the TaxOnline II, which was done in September 2022, the Property Transfer Tax (PTT) Certificates are now being automatically generated, thereby improving processing efficiency.
