Nigerian born and Africa’s biggest manufacturer investor has maintained first place for the 13th time to top Forbes top ten Africa’s billionaire’s list.
According to Forbes Africa, Nigerian Business man Aliko Dangote despite his wealthy decrease by $400 million to $13.5 billion last year he has topped the list followed by South African luxury goods tycoon Johann Rupert who has maintained his second position despite a decline of $300 million to $10.7 billion.
Forbes Africa recently released their list of the wealthiest individuals on the continent, with Nigerian business magnate Aliko Dangote once again taking the top spot.
However, there were no Zambian businessmen on the list, which was dominated by South Africans, North Africans, and Nigerians.
Despite the thriving business industry in Zambia, not a single businessman was able to make it onto the Forbes Africa Billionaire’s list. This list only includes individuals from just seven of the 54 countries on the continent.
Forbes calculates net worth by using stock prices and currency exchange rates, estimating revenues and profits and comparing privately held enterprises to similar public companies.
The net worth of the individuals listed can fluctuate within weeks or even days of the measurement date.
