Acting Minister of Green Economy and Environment, Elijah Muchima has challenged health experts to keep track of Kabwe residents, affected by lead poisoning.
Mr Muchima says this wil enable government and its cooperating partners to mobilise aid for the affected people.
He says government, through the Zambia Mining and Environment Remediation and Improvement Project, plans to reduce health environmental risks, especially lead contamination in Kabwe.
Mr Muchima, who is Lands Minister, said this in an interview in Lusaka .
And Germany Ambassador to Zambia, Wagner Mitchell says German is committed to help reduce the threats of lead poisoning.
Meanwhile, Kabwe Central Member of Parliament, Chrizoster Phiri has appealed to government and cooperating partners to provide long lasting solutions and eliminate the source of lead contamination.
