Government to provide expertise to Angola

(ZANIS)-Government has revealed that the authority has the capacity to provide professional expertise to neighbouring Angola.
Western Province Minister Kapelwa Mbangweta explained that Zambia is committed to strengthening its bilateral relations with Angola in trade and economic development.
The Minister, who is on a working visit to Moxico Province in Angola, in the quest to cement the two countries trade and economic development, called for the vigorous implementation of the agreement enshrined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), made by the two countries.
He noted that the consolidation of the bilateral relationship between Zambia and Angola has reached an advanced stage with Zambia committing to provide professional expertise to its neighbour.
Mr. Mbangweta who was taken on a tour by Governor of Moshiko (Moxico) Province, Ernesto Muangala visited the Moxico Provincial Maternity Hospital, High Polytechnic Institute of Moxico and Centrality Heroes of Cangamba where he assured his counterpart of Zambia’s being up to the task to provide professional expertise to that country.
Meanwhile, Governor Muangala stated that the state of art equipment and infrastructure in that province’s health, education and agriculture sectors lack adequate staff to work in them.
Mr. Muangala added that Angola will continue working together with Zambia as both countries share not only a vast border but a rich culture.
He said the country is already making strides in the communication road network in which it made a commitment to connect Zambia through bituminous roads to the border of both countries in Sikongo District.
Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema earlier this year signed an MoU with his Angolan counterpart Joao Lourenco in the quest to strengthen the two countries bilateral relations, which has seen the two Provinces exchanging diplomatic visits.
