Hector Simfukwe-The Ministry of Finance has released K46.5m to the Ministry of Agriculture to fight the fall army worms that attack the maize crop.
According to a statement issued by the ministry of Finance, the move is expected to protect the crop and promote food security across the country.
The Ministry of Finance says authorities will continue to closely monitor the situation.
Zambian has been experiencing outbreaks of the fall army worm in the seven agricultural seasons.
