The Higher Education Loans and Scholarship Board (HELSB) says University of Zambia (UNZA) students will start receiving their meal allowances after April 14, 2023.
HELSB Senior Corporate Communications Officer Chiselwa Kawanda says the over 10,000 students under the students’ loan at UNZA will start receiving their meal allowances after registration with the loans Board.
Ms Kawanda told ZNBC News in a phone interview that registration started on March 20 and after April 14 all those students that would have registered will start receiving their allowances.
She said students that would not have registered by the stipulated date will only be paid their meal allowances after they complete the registration process.
Ms. Kawanda said both new and returning students have to register with the loans Board.
