President Hakainde Hichilema has appointed Mr. Peter Mumba as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy.
Speaking during the the swearing-in ceremony Mr. Hichilema said that he underscored the government’s commitment to addressing the pressing issue of fuel pricing and its impact on citizens.
President Hichilema added that there is a urgent need to devise a fuel pricing mechanism that would provide predictability and minimize the economic burden on the people of Zambia.
He further expressed grave concern over the economic hardships faced by citizens due to rising fuel costs and pledged his administration’s dedication to resolving this issue promptly.
