President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has created a delivery unit meant to speed up the implementation of plans to develop the country.
President HICHILEMA says the unit is among other things focused on enhancing exports to achieve growth.
The President says Government is working to increase investment capacity among the private sector so that they become the main driver for economic growth.
He said this at State House when he met a delegation from Africa Finance Corporation-AFC.
Speaking at the same meeting, AFC President and Chief Executive Officer SAMAILA ZUBAIRU said his company is ready to fund infrastructure projects in Zambia as an anchor for industrialisation.
Mr. ZUBAIRU says the trend in Africa to export raw materials does not support growth because it means that many other other things such as capital and jobs are being exported.
The Africa Finance Corporation-AFC is a continental institution created to support industrialisation among African countries.
The Corporation was created by some African Union -AU- eminent persons who include Former Nigerian President GOODLUCK JONATHAN and Former South African Presidemt THABO MBEKI.
