President Hakainde Hichilema has challenged people in public offices to stop the culture of laziness but embrace hard work for the betterment of the country.
President Hichilema says the habit of procrastinating things that can be done immediately should not be allowed.
The President says not everything should wait for him before action can be taken adding that problems like sewer leakages are supposed to be done by relevant institutions.
He says Ministers, Councils and others are expected to do their part and not wait to be told before they can act.
The President said this today at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola, shortly before departure for Mbala.
And President Hichilema has described his visit to the Copperbelt as successful, further stating that he will continue interacting with people across the country.
The Head of State said he has so far given instructions to authorities to work on certain issues that he came across whilst others will require a bit of time.
The President was on the Copperbelt to check on development projects and meeting various stakeholders.
