(ZNBC)-North Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry is concerned that the Kalene Hills Fruit Processing plant in Mwinilunga District is not operating at full scale despite it being commissioned five months ago.
Chamber President MUKUMBI KAFUTA says the fruit processing plant was meant to boost agro business in the district and that it not being operational is depriving farmers of revenue.
Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Solwezi, Mr. KAFUTA says farmers are waiting to start ripping the benefits of having a multipurpose fruit processing plant which is meant to improve the agricultural sector.
President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA officially opened the Kalene Hills Fruit Processing plant in Mwinilunga District ,last year.
