King Mswati III encourages global tourists to explore Zambia’s spectacular tourism sites

Livingstone, Zambia – King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Eswatini has expressed his admiration for Zambia’s remarkable tourism destinations, urging travelers from around the world to visit the country and indulge in its unique experiences. Following a captivating tour of the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls in Livingstone, King Mswati III described the cascading beauty of the falls as truly breathtaking. The King was captivated by the magnificence of Victoria Falls, a divine creation of nature that offers a mesmerizing spectacle for people from all corners of the globe.

In a lighthearted manner, King Mswati III even playfully mentioned the symbolic cleansing of sins through baptism in the mighty waters of the falls. He fondly shared that the experience was unforgettable and one that he and his entourage would eagerly recount to inspire others to make a stopover as well. Grateful for the gracious invitation, King Mswati III extended his heartfelt appreciation to President Hakainde Hichilema for the wonderful experience in Zambia, particularly at Victoria Falls, along with other remarkable tourist attractions.

Commenting on the significance of the royal visit, Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Zambia and Eswatini, highlighting the presence of King Mswati III, accompanied by his wife, Inkhosikati Make Magongo, and entourage, in Livingstone, the country’s renowned tourist capital. Minister Sikumba further underscored the multitude of partnerships forged during the King’s visit, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the tourism sector, symbolizing the remarkable progress achieved by the leaders of both nations.

Additionally, Minister Sikumba emphasized the importance of an aviation partnership to overcome connectivity challenges between Zambia and Eswatini. This collaboration aims to facilitate seamless access for people in both countries, fostering the development of trade relations across vital sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and energy. Minister Sikumba expressed eagerness to explore opportunities for collaboration and mutually beneficial endeavors.

“King Mswati’s visit to Zambia serves as a clear indication of the numerous bilateral agreements we have signed between the Kingdom of Eswatini and Zambia, including those pertaining to tourism,” declared Minister Sikumba. He further emphasized the potential for Zambia and Eswatini to harness their collective strengths and collaborate effectively across various sectors for mutual prosperity.

During their visit, King Mswati III and his esteemed entourage, accompanied by Minister of Honor Peter Kapala, who also holds the portfolio of Energy, along with other senior government officials, embarked on an exhilarating game drive in Mosi-O-Tunya National Park, further deepening their appreciation of Zambia’s natural wonders.

The visit of King Mswati III not only showcases the splendor of Zambia’s tourist attractions but also cements the growing partnership between Eswatini and Zambia, ushering in a promising era of collaboration and shared success.
