Veteran Journalist, Communications and Public Relations practitioner Loyce Saili has been appointed Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) Director.

She becomes the first female to head the institution.

Mrs. Saili has over 28 years of experience in Media and Public Relations which she has served in both Government and the Private sector.

She started her career in the 90’s as a Journalist at the then Zambia News Agency (ZANA) which was later merged with the Zambia Information Services (ZIS) to form ZANIS.

Later she served as Director Communication and Public Relations at the Road Development Agency ( RDA ) before going into the private sector at Lubambe Mine where she worked as Communications Manager.

Loyce holds a Diploma in Journalism from Evelyn Hone College, a Degree in Public Relations from Edith Cowan University of Australia and a Masters Degree in Public Relations from Liutebm University.

Meanwhile the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia has congratulated the veteran journalist  on her appointment.

Misa Zambia Chairperson Barnabas Simatende says the appointment is a milestone because Loyce becomes the first female to be appointed to such a position.

Dr. Simatende has commended government for considering and entrusting women with leadership positions.

He says Misa Zambia is confident and optimistic that due to her vast experience in communication positions, Mrs. Saili will deliver to the expected standards without fear or favour.
