Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (MIHUD) Permanent Secretary, Professor Albert Malama has urged Engineers to be equipped with knowledge and tools necessary to construct roads that will not only withstand the test of time but also contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
Prof. Malama has urged Engineers to harness their expertise, dedication and collaborative spirit to lay the foundation for a safer, resilient and effecient road network that will serve generations to come.
He said this today during a training on Asphalt Mix Designs by Colas Zambia at Mulungushi International Conference in Lusaka.
The Road Development Agency (RDA) has been collaborating with Colas Zambia through a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in various areas of interest pertaining to the use of bituminous products in road maintenance and construction.
Prof. Malama was represented by the Director Public Infrastructure at the MIHUD, Eng. Clive Khan.
Other stakeholders who participated in the training include, Engineers from MIHUD, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Lusaka City Council and Colas Zambia.
