Small and Medium Enterprise Minister Elias Mubanga has urged youths and women to be innovative and create employment for themselves instead of waiting to be employed.
Mr Mubanga says people shouldn’t have the mindsets of having to wait for opportunities to present themselves but to create opportunities.
He has reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting small businesses as they contribute to the growth of the economy.
He has also urged women not to shun away from opportunities such as marketeers booster because they enhance their businesses.
Mr Mubanga was speaking when he toured some business entities in Lusaka today.
He says he is happy to know that some youths and women are creating jobs for themselves and others.
And Harrison Mubanga a CEO of Recyclemenia a recycling company, has called on other youths not to waste time in engaging in bad activities but use the time for productively.
Meanwhile Kamusha farm Director Max Jumpu has appealed to Ministry to assist him in buying a tractor to ease his work at the farm.
And Vicseki farm Director Victor Sekeleti has encouraged other youths to venture into farming as it is a good source of income.
