(ZNBC)-The Kitwe District administration has pledged to help the National Pension Scheme Authority- NAPSA- in registering people who are in the informal sector.
Kitwe District Commissioner LAWRENCE MWANZA says efforts to promote social protection for people in Markets and Bus Stations should be supported.
Mr. MWANZA said this in Kitwe today, during a meeting between people in the Informal sector and NAPSA.
He said it is sad that a number of people become destitute when they are no longer active due to failure to make contributions to a pension scheme.
And speaking at the same event, NAPSA Kitwe Area Manager SIMUWANA MUDENDA said the Authority has put in place measures to reach out to people in the informal sector.
