Energy Expert JOHNSTONE CHIKWANDA says the proposed adjustment of electricity tariffs by Zesco have given the low income earners of society reduced rates for electricity.
Dr. CHIKWANDA says those who use below 200 units have been given a 40 ngwee reduction while the lowest users of units will be given a seven ngwee reduction.
Speaking when he featured on ZNBC TV1’s 13:00hrs news, Dr. CHIKWANDA said there is a lot of misinformation on the proposed tariff adjustment as many people only focus on the upward adjustment.
He says Zesco has categorized domestic customers in four different categories and each has its own respective tariffs.
