Sesheke gives out K1.4m in CDF funds

(ZNBC)-Over 1.4 million Kwacha Constituency Development Funds -CDF- grants have been given to beneficiaries in Sesheke district.

Sesheke Member of Parliament, ROMEO KANG’OMBE, has officially handed over the cheques to 87 women and youths cooperatives in the district.

And Mr. KANG’OMBE has encouraged the residents of Sesheke to apply for individual loans under CDF.

He says he has noted with concern that many people in the constituency have not applied for personal loans.

And WAKUNG’UMA WAKUNG’UMA, a representative of the beneficiaries, has thanked government for the empowerment saying it will improve the lives of many women and youths in the district.

Meanwhile, Sesheke Council Secretary, THOMAS ZIMBA, says the expanded and increased CDF for 2022 has made the work of the council easy, in terms of distributing the money to applicants.

And Sesheke CDF Chairperson, KENNETH AKETATA, has praised management at Sesheke Council for prudently managing the funds.
