Southern Water and Sanitation Company SWASCO is laying water pipes in Ngebe area in Ngwenya Livingstone.
Namatama Ward Councilor KELVIN MAAMBO says Ngwenya has faced water challenges for many years and that the SWASCO project has brought hope to residents.
He told ZNBC News that currently residents are buying water from Highlands and other areas, a thing that has proved to be counterproductive.
And a resident CHITETA NYUMBU said the water utility company should consider erecting a water tank to service Ngwenya which is among densely populated townships in the city.
