The Public Service Commission and the Ministry of Health through Resident Doctors Association of Zambia has assured the 800 unemployed doctors that they will be considered for employment in which the outcome will be given after 3 weeks.
Addressing the doctors after a consultative meeting with Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary administration and the Public Service Commission, Association President Brian Sampa has advised the doctors to remain calm as their matter is being handled diligently by the ministry to ensure this is done conclusively.
Dr Sampa is optimistic that according to the meeting, the doctor’s demand to be employed will be met after three weeks.
And Chairperson for the unemployed doctors, Dr Wallace Ndumba said the doctors do not expect any excuses after 3 weeks.
The unemployed doctors earlier held a peaceful protest at Ministry of Health headquarters over delays to employ them.
