Vice President Mutale Nalumango has thanked her predecessor Inonge Wina for paving way for women leadership at the highest level in the country.
Mrs. Nalumango says Mrs. Wina as first female Vice President has pushed women to aim high in society.
She says the country is proud of Mrs.Wina for her work.
She adds that Mrs. Wina has been a focused leader who has served with integrity.
The Vice President said this yesterday during the launch of Mrs. Wina’s book titled,”When Destiny Calls”.
The Book highlights Mrs. Wina’s public service as well as her fight for gender equality.
Speaking at the same event, Mrs. Wina said the Zambia can only prosper when women and men work together.
Mrs. Wina says women in politics should work extra hard because society uses a different yardstick to gauge their performance even when they face additional responsibilities as mothers and wives who are expected to take care of the family.
She has advised women in senior positions to be trustworthy and make decisions with integrity.
