Lusaka, Zambia – Zambia’s preparations for Saturday’s Group H CAF 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Comoros in Moroni have been boosted by the arrival of six key foreign-based players.
Among the notable arrivals are Leicester City striker Patson Daka and Ayr United defender Frankie Musonda, who have both landed in Lusaka and are now available for selection.
The other foreign-based players who have joined the camp are Kings Kangwa (Red Star Belgrade), Golden Mafwenta (Vyskov), Benson Sakala (Mlada Boleslav), and Rally Bwalya (Sekhukhune).
Zambia currently tops Group H with 12 points, two points ahead of Ivory Coast. The latter, who have already qualified as hosts of the tournament, host Lesotho on Saturday. Comoros, meanwhile, are third with six points and have been eliminated from contention.
The Zambian team will be looking to cement their dominance in Group H and secure their place at the 2023 AFCON. With the arrival of their key foreign-based players, they will be confident of doing just that.
