Zambia’s fourth mobile network operator has been launched.
Beeline Telecoms will be trading as Zedmobile.
And Technology and Science Minister FELIX MUTATI has urged the new Zambian owned mobile network operator to help bridge the digital divide and provide affordable services across the country.
Mr. MUTATI who graced the launch expressed optimism that Zedmobile will come with services that will carter for those that have been unconnected.
He said the mobile company should also aim at offering a network that will drive digital financial solutions for financial inclusion.
And Zedmobile Chairman KELVIN HAMBWEZYA said his company will operate in line with Government’s agenda of contributing to sustainable development through mobile network operations.
