Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) has partnered with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) to commemorate the 2023 World Radio Day today.
Other partners on the event include the Mail AND Guardian, Channel Africa and UNESCO.
ZNBC Head – Corporate Affairs ANNE MUKABE in a statement said the collaboration is an initiative by the media organizations’ emphasis of the role radio plays in providing news and entertainment to populations, despite several challenges.
And the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Director Standards, Licensing and Compliance, EUSTACE NKANDU, says Radio is an effective medium of communication which has a wider reach and adaptable to any language in communities.
