Energy Minister PETER KAPALA has unveiled a seven member Board of Directors for the Rural Electrification Authority -REA- with a call for them to increase coverage of people accessing electricity.
And Mr. KAPALA expressed confidence that the board will provide strategic policy direction to REA.
He says the Board must initiate innovative ways of achieving the target of electrifying at least 51 percent of rural areas by 2030.
Mr KAPALA announced that the board will be led by BRENDA LIKONGE MAKAI.
Others that are on the board are KAYULA CHIMFWEMBE, NANCY MWAMBA, MAFAYO ZIBA, CEASER CHEELO, BRUCE JAANI and MAZUBA MWAMBAZI.
The board which comprises of technical and professional personnel will serve for a term of three years.
