The Zambia Chinese Association (ZCA) and the Lusaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have signed a corporation agreement in a bid to promote, enhance trade and investment between the two business organisations.
Speaking during the signing ceremony held at the ZCA offices in Lusaka, LCCI President Alexander Lawrence said the agreement will help facilitate trade, business networking, and business linkages between the two organisations.
“We advocate for policies that would help doing business in Zambia, doing business in Lusaka much more affordable. I want Lusaka to also have a good market link network, and that’s what is important,” Lawrence said.
Lawrence hinted that the key benefit of both organizations’ interaction is to protect the interests of businesses that are in Lusaka and by virtue extension of the country.
He added that there is a need to ensure that both parties collaborate in bringing the right kind of technology in the medical field, steel industry, and mining among other economic sectors into the country.
Some of the notable areas of the landmark corporation agreement include; trade promotions, investment opportunities, information exchange, capacity building and business networking among others.
Speaking at the same event ZCA President Zhang Jian noted that the Corporation Agreement represents a commitment to fostering strong economic ties, promoting mutual prosperity between the ZCA and the LCCI.
