China says it will help Zambia and Tanzania revitalize the Tanzania Zambia Railway -TAZARA.
Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, DU XIAOHUI says TAZARA will be key to Zambia’s ambitious target to increase copper production from the current 830,000 metric tonnes to 3-million metric tons in the next ten years.
Mr Du said this when he called on Labour and Social Security Minister, BRENDA TAMBATAMBA.
Ms TAMBATAMBA said improved compliance of labour laws by Chinese firms will enhance Zambia-China relations.
Ms. TAMBATAMBA says the longstanding relationship between Zambia and China will continue being consolidated through bilateral agreements in labour and employment.
And Mr DU also said he will ensure Chinese firms follow the laid down labour regulations.
